Jerry Braakman

Jerry Braakman is responsible for the investment outlook, portfolio strategy, asset allocation, risk management, treasury and investment processes for First American Trust, FSB. His career started at First American Trust in 1995 and during his tenure, he has held various operational and investment management positions. Most recently, Mr. Braakman oversaw the management of First American’s $2.3 billion corporate investment portfolio. He is also a member of the board of directors for First Security Business Bank in Orange, CA.

Thomas Gray, Esq.

Thomas Gray focuses on complex intellectual property litigation and counseling with an emphasis on patent litigation, Internet related matters, and trade secret litigation. For many years, Thomas was the Co-Leader of the firm’s Trade Secrets Group. More recently, Mr. Gray has taught Internet Law as an Adjunct Professor at both Chapman University School of Law and Whittier Law School. Thomas has extensive trial experience and has served as first or second chair on more than a dozen trials. He has also frequently published and spoken on a number of trade secrets, patent and Internet issues.

Joseph Jhung

Joe Jhung is proud to be a UCLA alumnus where he majored in Economics and graduated in 2001. He then married Elaine, his college sweetheart, in 2004. Joe and Elaine have two children. Robert Charles is 4 years old and Sarah Joy is 2 years old. Joe Jhung epitomizes what YPA stands for. During his first year with Northwestern Mutual he set an agency record, which still stands today. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is securities licensed. As a former missionary to the Czech Republic, Joe enjoys serving his community. He serves on the Safe Families Council and is a Trustee for Olive Crest, a home for abused and neglected children. Joe is also a deacon at Cornerstone Bible Church where he and his wife are founding members.

Gloria Lee, Esq.

Gloria Lee is a transactional real estate attorney focusing on the development and financing of residential and commercial properties. Her practice includes the structuring, development and regulation of residential, commercial, condominium, timeshare, and fractional use planned developments and owner associations. She also has experience with representing lenders, developers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of real estate transactions, including real estate secured financings, acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Lee earned two Bachelor degrees and a Masters degree concurrently in four years from Stanford University, where she graduated with distinction and received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall, School of Law. In 2010, Ms. Lee was honored by OC Metro Magazine as one of the top 40 under 40 young business professionals in Orange County and in 2012 was named a “Rising Star” in the Southern California Edition of Super Lawyers magazine. Ms. Lee is also the Immediate Past President of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association and mother of two young (rambunctious) boys.

Benjamin Lin, Esq.

Benjamin Lin’s practice focuses on complex patent infringement litigation in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has litigated cases involving Internet, software, semiconductor, and e-commerce technologies, and has represented clients in matters related to copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets. In addition, Benjamin has successfully prosecuted patent applications for numerous clients in the mechanical, nanotechnology, and software fields of art. He has also sought and obtained trademark registrations for his clients, and has represented clients’ interests in trademark opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board.

Thomas Miller

Tom and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Summer age 9 (going on 13) and Sienna age 7. Tom graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 1995 and immediately joined the Northwestern Mutual team. In 2000, Tom was recognized as a top 10 College Unit Director, nationally. He is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has attained his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. In addition to his role as Managing Director, Tom is also the Life Insurance specialist for the Waltos Group Agency.

Vijay Pai, Esq.
